REEDS
REEDS is an original project centered around a fictional university student film crew, documenting the full process of creating a short film. Inspired by my long-standing interest in human connections and storytelling, this project uses visual narratives and detailed materials to depict the journey from initial planning to final production.
The project is divided into three parts: The first part is the short film "REEDS," a story set in a small town in the late 1990s that explores themes of childhood friendship, accidental tragedy, and unspoken truths. The second part presents behind-the-scenes interactions during the film’s production, using illustrations and text to portray the team’s collaboration, daily life, and evolving relationships, making each character more vivid and dynamic. The third part focuses on the creative process itself, featuring character designs, storyboard sketches, prop designs, and production notes, offering a comprehensive view of how the project took shape from concept to completion.
"REEDS" aims to reconstruct not only the making of a fictional story but also the passion, confusion, and growth unique to a group of student creators, through a combination of visual and narrative documentation.
